Does five-millimeter triangle size mean five-millimeter horizontal columns?
It is the triangle's edge-step length. In the standard lattice the horizontal pitch between neighboring vertical columns is five times 3\sqrt{3} divided by two, approximately 4.330mm. The half-row pitch is 2.5mm. Measure an edge run along its guide direction when checking five-millimeter steps. A horizontal ruler measurement across columns describes a projected component and should not be substituted for the angled edge length.
